YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Notice

This notice explains how X8 Drones Ltd handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us or use our services.

Last updated: 1 October 2026.

Who we are

X8 Drones Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Company No. 17433855. Registered Office: 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. Contact us at [email protected] or 07460 098775.

Information we handle

When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, project location, correspondence and other details you choose to provide. For commissioned work, we may also handle contract, booking, invoicing and payment records.

Drone photographs and recordings may contain identifiable people, vehicle registration numbers or other personal information. Website hosting, security and analytics services may process IP addresses, browser and device details, pages viewed and interaction data.

Why we use it

We use enquiry and project information to respond to requests, prepare quotations and deliver services. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, or our legitimate interests in managing business enquiries and providing services.

We rely on legal obligations where records must be retained for accounting or other statutory purposes. Security processing supports our legitimate interests in protecting our website and business. Where processing requires consent, we seek that consent and you can withdraw it.

Photographs and recordings

We consider privacy when planning drone operations and aim to limit incidental capture of personal information. The handling and delivery of commissioned material depends on the project and our agreement with the client. Where a client determines the purpose of processing, our responsibilities may be governed by a separate data-processing agreement.

This notice does not itself give us permission to use identifiable people in promotional material. Any such use needs an appropriate lawful basis.

Website analytics and cookies

We use Cloudflare for website security and delivery, and Complianz to remember your cookie choices. Essential technologies support these functions. With your permission, Google Analytics and StatCounter collect information about how visitors use our website, such as pages viewed, browser and device information, and visit activity. Optional analytics scripts are blocked until you consent.

Choose Accept optional, Reject optional or Settings in the cookie notice. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button shown on every page. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from browsing the site or contacting us. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics loading; it does not undo information already collected. You can also remove previously stored cookies using your browser settings.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking cookies may affect some functions. Any consent or opt-out requirements depend on the technologies used and their configuration; publishing this notice does not provide consent on your behalf.

Service providers and sharing

Information may be processed by providers of website hosting, security, email, analytics, communications and business administration services. Relevant providers include IONOS, Cloudflare, Google and Statcounter. If you contact us through WhatsApp, that service also processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Information may be shared with clients and authorised project participants as necessary to carry out agreed work, or with advisers and authorities where required. We limit sharing to what is appropriate for the purpose.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where restricted international transfers occur, the applicable transfer arrangements need to provide the safeguards required by UK data-protection law. Contact us if you would like details of the arrangements relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

We retain information for as long as needed for the enquiry, project or other purpose for which it was collected, taking account of legal record-keeping requirements and the need to resolve disputes. Retention of commissioned photographs and recordings depends on the project agreement. Contact us for the retention arrangements that apply to your information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, object to processing, and request portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

To make a request, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as our services or data-handling arrangements change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
